Is it too soon to start thinking about Christmas? Not if you are in our office it isn’t!
That’s right, and if you are looking to push brand awareness and are thinking about printed packaging for your business this Christmas, now is the time to add it to your to-do list!
I know what you are thinking, we have only just had Easter! But the kids will be back to school before we know it, and then the holidays will be right around the corner. When it comes to packaging, particularly bespoke packaging or custom printed packaging it is always better to allow more time for fulfilment, particularly as we head into busier months.
I look after the custom packaging department here at The Bag ‘N’ Box Man, and I usually tell our customers to place their orders between August and September to avoid disappointment, however this year some of our customers are even more organised than me!
It’s not just Christmas to think about, particularly for online stores. The run up to year end is always the busiest, it’s important to plan ahead so as not to get caught short when it comes to your packaging. With this in mind I have put together some important dates for your diaries, I hope this helps.
Seasonal packaging for 2021: important dates for your diary.
Halloween: Sunday 31st October – A busier time of year for some, depending on the industry you are in. Will you be looking to make your mark for any promotional offers this halloween? Or perhaps you are anticipating an increase in sales on previous months, if so now is the time to look at custom printed packaging to really push brand awareness for your business.
Black Friday: Friday 26th November – In the world of eCommerce BFCM weekend is enormous! Not a traditional calendar entry in the UK but in recent years has proven to be a pivotal part of online sellers strategies. Studies show that consumers are likely to hold off on larger purchases to grab a bargain on the last Friday in November.
Cyber Monday: Monday 29th November – The second largest online sale day of the calendar year. As an extension of Black Friday, and sales lasting for the entire weekend, Cyber Monday is the last chance for customers to take advantage of sale prices. ECommerce strategists predict this to be their busiest weekend of the year, so stocking up on your packaging ahead of time is important, but ordering custom packaging as early as possible is ESSENTIAL.
Christmas Day: Saturday 25th December – Whether you sell your products in store or online, there is no denying that the lead up to Christmas should be the busiest time of year for retail, so it is good to be prepared. If you are thinking of taking the plunge into holiday packaging, whether it is product packaging, or shipping materials, we have got you covered. From printed bags and boxes to entirely bespoke packaging to fit your needs, it is important to allow extra time to avoid delays or disappointment! We can help, in fact this year we have already seen some of our customers ordering their holiday packaging as early as July!
As always, the team and I are on hand to help, so please feel free to get in touch! We are happy to walk you through the options and the ranges to come up with a solution to fit your needs and budget!
